“Human well-being depends on the good conditions of our world and its system”
What is sustainable development?
Sustainable development focuses on the needs of the present without compromising the capacity of future generations, guaranteeing a balance between economic growth, environment care, and social well-being. Many of the challenges that human beings face, such as climate change, water scarcity, inequalities or hunger, can only be solved from a global perspective and by promoting sustainable development.
The best ways to take care of the environment:
+ Energy saving: maintaining a responsible attitude. using natural resources such as the sun’s energy, to take advantage of its light and heat. + Saving water: Showering instead of filling the bathtub, reducing the capacity of our cisterns, avoiding letting the water run and, in short, turning off the tap in all those situations in which its use is not essential.
+ Recycle through the correct segregation of residues, waste and rubbish in the containers enabled for each one of them, so we can offer a new life to our garbage. + Compost is one of the most important ecological methods, which encourages the reuse of organic waste for profit.
